World Language Seals & Certifications

In accordance with Minnesota State system policy (3.35.1), colleges and universities shall award credit for K-12 world language proficiency. The following table identifies the credit equivalencies for seals and certificates and the corresponding proficiency levels set by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Students must present their seal or certificate within three (3) years after graduating from high school in order for MSUM to accept the credit in transfer.

Please contact the MSUM Registrar’s Office for more information on credit awarded for these seals and certifications.
