Roommate Request

Do you want to live with your friends? Already have a roommate in mind?

When you sign up for housing at MSUM, you may hold the space in your room for another current student who has not yet signed up for campus housing. You will hold your roommate's space via the Roommate Group function in your housing application. The other student will see your “invitation” and complete your roommate pairing and room selection. Roommate Groups must be secured by June 15 (for the following fall semester).

If you do not request a specific roommate, the other space in the room you have chosen will be available to other students signing up online. For returning residents, a requested roommate space can be held through May graduation. After the deadline the hold will be released and another student will be assigned to the room.
