Communication Studies Dragon Stories

The GRIT Program at MSU Moorhead has been honored with the inaugural Devinder Malhotra Equity Award for its outstanding efforts in promoting student success and closing educational equity gaps. The award recognizes the program’s collaborative approach involving various departments and its significant impact on helping students of color, Pell-eligible, and first-generation students thrive in their college careers.

As MSUM’s Vice President of Finance & Administration, Georges provides strategic and operational leadership for the financial and administrative areas, including Business Services, Information Technology, Public Safety, and Facilities Management. 

The Teacher Cadet Program, initiated in response to the growing teacher shortage, has already seen success. Many high school participants have discovered their passion for teaching and are committing to further their education at MSUM.

Kayla Jones is MSUM’s new Academic Advisor and Tutor program coordinator. She will be working in the Academic Success Center advising students, academic coaching, and overseeing the tutoring center.

Current Graduate assistant and doctoral student Hailen Ackerman is continuing his studies in educational leadership at MSUM.

Air Force member has balanced being on active duty and getting two master’s degrees at MSU Moorhead. 

Students of the College of Science, Health and Environment had the chance to expand their knowledge in a study abroad trip to Ireland.
