    The Marketing & Communications team seeks to achieve a unified brand in all external promotions that represent the diverse departments of our university. We have the resources you need to create high-impact, effective publications and graphics to support your strategic goals. Aligning department promotional materials with the MSUM brand will enhance our ability to:

    • Increase our communication efficiency and effectiveness
    • Enhance the university’s and department’s reputation and name recognition
    • Build stronger relationships with our stakeholders


    We work with you to assess your communication needs based on the information you provide us. We help you develop a strategic approach to your effort(s) that identifies audiences, objectives, key messages, tactics, timelines, budgets, and measurement techniques. This can be a simple as a single print piece, news release or campus communication or as complicated as a multi-year integrated media and marketing plan.


    We have full-service media relations, internal communications and creative agency capabilities to help you execute your communications strategy within the MSUM brand. We also will work with you to identify opportunities to extend the reach of your communications through university-wide initiatives and partnerships with others across campus.


    We will follow up with you to assess the success of your communications efforts based on the objectives and measurements specified in your plan and work with you to refine your strategy moving forward.
