Achieving lifelong goals with Moorhead's online education program

Stephanie Hanson is a current Minnesota State Moorhead student studying Elementary Inclusive Education online. As a paraprofessional, juggling school and work could be difficult. She has found the flexibility she needs through Moorhead's online program.

What helped you decide to pursue your degree at Moorhead?
Moorhead has offered me the opportunity to finish my degree while working full-time. The online curriculum has proven to be an amazing asset for me. It has allowed me to fulfill my lifelong dream of earning my degree.

What do you enjoy most about your time at Moorhead?
I enjoy having discussions with classmates who have similar stories as my own. Going back to college as a 51-year-old is scary, but others are doing the same. This gives me encouragement and the motivation to finish what I long ago started!

What advice would you give to students considering your degree at Moorhead?
Do it! You will never go wrong with education. There are grants and scholarships out there to help you pursue your dreams. Moorhead provides you with so many resources to help you through each step of your journey. You can do anything you set your mind to. Believe in yourself, have confidence, and show the world what you are made of!

What has your online experience at Moorhead been like?
It has given me the freedom to do my classes and homework at my convenience. The flexibility of taking online classes gives me the ability to have time for my family as well as work full-time.
