    Read&Write Gold is installed in some computer labs on campus.

    Please see the minimum Read&Write Gold system requirements before installing the software.

    On Campus Use

    Install Read&Write Gold [Campus PCs] using the Microsoft Software Center.
    *Custom settings you make to this version on the campus PC computers will appear when using Read&Write Gold on any PC lab computer on the MSUM campus.

    Read&Write Gold is currently installed in some computer labs on campus.

    Personal Use

    MSU Moorhead students, faculty, and staff are eligible to install the Read&Write Gold Take Home Version free of charge onto their own personal computer.

    Go to the Read&Write Gold – Take Home Version download page to download the application.

    Please refer to the installation instructions for help on how to download and install Read&Write Gold to your personal computer. PC Instructions | Mac Instructions

    Important Notes:

    • If using a PC please use Internet Explorer (not Mozilla Firefox) as your web browser when downloading and using Read&Write Gold.
    • You must log in using your StarID username and password to download the application.
    • Once the Read&Write Activation window displays, click [Activate]. You do not need to enter an Activation Code.

    Custom settings you make to the Take Home version on your computer will not appear when using Read&Write Gold on a lab computer on the MSUM campus.

    The purpose of MSUM Accessibility Resources is to:

    • Provide services and accommodations to students with disabilities.
    • Work closely with faculty and staff in an advisory capacity.
    • Assist in the development of reasonable accommodations for students.
    • Provide equal access for "otherwise qualified" individuals with disabilities.

    Regional Assistive Technology Center

    The Minnesota State University Moorhead Speech-Language & Hearing Clinic Regional Assistive Technology Center (RATC) was established to provide communication devices and knowledge of augmentative communication systems to consumers, families and professionals in Minnesota and North Dakota. In addition to providing knowledge about and services for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, the center also provides information about and services for assistive technology.

    School of Teaching & Learning

    The School of Teaching and Learning is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education and provides a comprehensive curriculum that spans early childhood, elementary, K-12 and special education to prepare students with high-quality teaching skills and solid grounding in their chosen discipline.

    Speech Language Hearing Sciences

    The Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Department offers a comprehensive program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) that explores the normal and disordered processes of human communication. The curriculum includes studies on a variety of communication disorders and clinical procedures and is complemented by the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic on campus – which includes a Regional Assistive Technology Center and an Auditory Processing Disorders Clinic, and provides a real-world setting for students to gain hands-on clinical practice experience.
