Information Technology

Information Technology provides technology tools, services and support for achieving success at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The majority of the Information Technology webpage and content has been moved to the new IT Support Portal. This new portal will include a knowledge base and comprehensive list of all MSUM technology resources. You can find helpful information to assist you which include:

  • Remote Support & Chat
We continue to offer remote assistance to your computer as well as live chat with help desk associates during open Help Desk hours.
  • Knowledge Base Articles
You can view articles and find information to “Help yourself” through common issues such as activating a StarID or accessing your email. If more help is needed, you can create a Help Desk Incident from the KB article you are viewing or from the support home page.
  • Create IT Tickets
Log an "Incident" request for an unplanned interruption to an IT service or reduction in the quality of an IT service. Submit a "Service" request for something to be provided, information, advice, a standard change or access to an IT service.
  • Ticket History
You will be able to view, correspond, and view any updates to your tickets with IT right from this portal.
