Online Social Work Degree Plan

The online BSW program plan is a hybrid cohort program designed for full-time students. The course delivery is primarily asynchronous with some online synchronous course elements. Students within 200 miles will be required to come to campus three times each semester. Admitted students will take their courses together as a cohort in full-time sequencing. The MSUM online Social Work program admissions applications are accepted once a year for Fall enrollment.

BSW Online Admission & Application Requirements

The degree plan below is a model for completing your online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree in a timely manner. The plan below is one of several possible ways for you to complete the online Social Work degree. Your individualized plan may look different if you have already fulfilled some requirements. Check your Financial Aid as it may require specific term credits for full-time funding. You must complete all university and program requirements successfully to complete this degree (GPA-MUSM and Major; 120 credits; LASC; WI; and field placement/internship).

  • *The MnTC/General Education requirements and designated Social Work related requirements must be fulfilled prior to enrollment into the Online Social Work Pathway. Students must obtain a grade of C or higher in all core Social Work requirements. Students will need to apply for TK20 (students are orientated to this process in SW 405) to complete their Social Work Online admissions requirements.
