RN to BSN Careers & Outcomes
MSUM’s RN-BSN program is designed to broaden your perspective, impact and insight as a professional registered nurse while enriching and expanding your career options.
Our BSN graduates are 100 percent employed and are prepared to transform practice as change agents in the complex healthcare environments that exist today. MSUM’s registered nurse-BSN graduates practice in long-term care management, schools of nursing, home care, in any hospital setting of choice, community health centers, public health, the VA system and more.
Past four-year alumni respondents indicate that 86 percent had career advancement during the program or after graduation.
A registered nurse with a BSN can expect to earn slightly more than a registered nurse with an associate degree, and will be able to advance in their nursing career more quickly. The average salary of a 2015 Minnesota BSN nurse is $65,000 to 78,000. However, your actual salary will vary greatly based on position and geographic location.
