Economics Graduate School
Graduate School
MSUM takes great pride in the preparation it provides to undergraduates interested in pursuing professional careers, graduate study or law school. Small class sizes, outstanding faculty advising and personal, one-on-one attention provide students with an exceptional learning environment. Economics students gain experience in faculty-mentored research projects, where they analyze large data sets and present their findings at professional meetings and student academic conferences. As alumni, they are employed with government agencies and companies such as Bobcat, Cargill, C.H. Robinson, Honeywell, McGladrey, and U.S. Bank, among others.
A panel of alumni and faculty participate in a workshop for students who are interested in graduate school in economics, applied economics, business, public administration or law school. The workshop provides information on applying and gaining entrance into graduate and professional programs and insights into the graduate experience. MSUM Economics graduates are successful in entering major graduate programs in economics and law and nearly all of them are awarded at least partial funding for graduate study.
