Economics Careers & Outcomes
The Economics Department takes great pride in the preparation it provides to undergraduate students interested in pursuing professional careers, graduate study or law school. Faculty-mentored research projects and other challenging academic activities will prepare you exceedingly well for whichever path you choose following graduation. MSUM Economics alumni have gone on to earn master and doctorate degrees at major graduate programs in economics and law, and nearly all of them are awarded at least partial funding for graduate study. In a recent survey of MSUM Economics alumni, nearly 75 percent report earning annual salaries of $75,000 or greater.
