Dr. An is a mentor, an experienced marketing educator, and a marketing researcher with a demonstrated history of working in higher education and the real world of industry. He is skilled in college student teaching/mentoring/counseling/advising. His teaching focuses on Digital/Social Media Marketing. Helping students is a great joy for him.
Before entering the field of higher education, Dr. An was an inventory analyst in the retail industry utilizing his management information skills and sales data analytic skills. Hands-on industry experience earned from the real world of business helps him offer students a broader view toward the industry. Since he joined MSUM, Dr. An has been actively participating in academic research activities and he presented his studies in various academic conferences including the Atlantic Marketing Association (AtMA), Academy of International Business Midwest Chapter (AIB-Midwest), Society for Marketing Advances (SMA), Business and Applied Sciences Academy of North America (BAASANA) and Northeast Business & Economics Association (NBEA). He is an active member of the Society for Marketing Advances (SMA) and Beta Gamma Sigma the exclusive business honor society. Besides, he is actively contributing to the academic communities by reviewing peer-review journal/conference articles.
