Paul P. Feder Observatory

The Paul P. Feder Observatory houses a 16-inch cassegrain reflecting telescope that is powerful enough to see a candle flame from 100 miles away! The system uses sensitive electronic cameras to record images, which can then be shown on computer monitors or projected on a screen in the auditorium.

The observatory and telescope are used for public programming, college courses, amateur astronomers and astronomical research. If you would like to schedule time out at the observatory for research, please contact the MSUM Physics Department.
