Department of Anthropology & Earth Science graduates are able to pursue careers in a large number of fields, including academia, government and a variety of major industries.

An Earth Science Education degree will prepare you for licensure to teach high school Earth science courses such as geology, meteorology or astronomy, and to teach any of the sciences in middle school (grades 5-8).

Professional anthropologists can find work in colleges and universities, contract archaeology firms at archaeological sites, physical anthropology laboratories, and in museums in a wide range of areas. As a Geoscience major you can enter academia (with an advanced degree), industry (exploration geologist and geophysicist, engineering and environmental geologist); or government scientist (U.S. Geological Survey, NOAA, NASA).
