MSUM Studio Art alumni can work in just about any creative field they wish. With many emphases to choose from, you’ll be able to concentrate on medium in which your passion lies.
MSUM Studio Art students receive expert instruction and mentoring that prepares them for success in many careers, including studio artist, art historian, or art teacher; museum curator or director, arts advocate or arts education specialist, art director or art therapist.
As a Studio Art major in the MSUM School of Art, you’ll learn the principles of art, develop an understanding of art in historic and contemporary contexts, and acquire advanced skills in studio areas, including drawing and illustration, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography and ceramics.

Begin taking classes at Alexandria Technical and Community College and complete a BS degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences at MSUM, the courses listed in the table below are ATMAE accreditation requirements and need to be completed.
