The MSUM Dean of Students Office often meets with you when you are experiencing challenges in your life that may affect your success at MSUM. Students who have completed their housing application by June 15, will be eligible to take part in room selection. During this process, students will be able to pick the space in which they want to live in the fall, selecting from available spaces for which they are eligible.
Room renewal is for students currently living in university housing and/or current MSUM students. During room renewal, students will select their roommate(s), meal plan, and either claim their same room or select a different room for the following academic year.
Snarr Complex is made up of three co-ed residence halls, centrally located on campus near the campus dining center and Wellness Center. West Snarr completed its renovation in 2014; the first floor of West Snarr offers an open lounge with fireplace, multi-purpose room for studying and events, a kitchen, and a hall desk with mail services for the entire Snarr complex.
Ask anyone who’s ever lived in Holmquist Hall to describe the place and they’ll likely say, “It’s like a family.” That’s not surprising, since Holmquist is a tightly knit coed community—a place where residents take an interest in getting to know each other.
You can’t miss Nelson Hall. Twelve floors tall and boasting a unique cylindrical shape, it’s a campus landmark. Check out the 12th floor lounge, which is used for TV watching, meetings, floor programs and studying, and offers sweeping views of campus, downtown Moorhead, the Red River, Fargo and the vast plains beyond.
