The Moorhead [Minnesota] Federation of Republican Women was founded as a local branch of the National Federation of Republican Women in 1958. In 1968, the Club changed its name to the Moorhead Republican Women’s Club. Its objectives include increasing women’s active political participation, promoting the principles and ideals of the Republican Party, and working for the election of Republican Party nominees. The Club has been active by conducting fund raisers and receptions for party candidates, by publishing a monthly newsletter, and through various community projects.
The records of the Moorhead Republican Women’s Club include: by-laws and amendments, meeting minutes, membership lists, newsletters, photographs, and material on programs, fund raisers, presidents, social, and publicity reports. The records are arranged alphabetically by topic and chronologically within each topic.
