Florence Price was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was educated at the New England conservatory of Music. Florence became well known for her Symphony No.1. She was the first black female composer to have had a major American orchestra perform a piece by an African-American woman.
Joseph Haydn was born in Austria. At a young age Haydn developed musical talent. At eight years old he had moved to Vienna to pursue being a chorister. By 17 he had left and worked with many musicians and created many compositions. He focused a lot on vocal music and string quartets.
Claude Debussy is remembered for his original system of harmony and musical structure. Born in France, he had shown he was a gifted pianist by age nine. He truly shaped how the impressionist music era came together.
Frédéric Chopin was born in Poland and by the age of eight performed his first concert. Chopin was unlike previous musicians, he was very exceptional with being bold, tender, and happy. By the age of 21 he had moved to Paris to pursue his career. He died at age 38 of Tuberculosis. He is remembered for his intelligence and his abilities to observe.
Max Reger was born in Bavaria. He was known for his teaching and composing. He studied at Wieden and was known for mostly organ works. He worked with orchestras until 1914 due to health reasons and later died in 1916.
Michael Bergson was a Polish pianist and composer. He idolized Chopin, much of his work was influenced by his power. Bergson wrote two operas and many piano pieces. He died in London in 1898.
Andrew Lloyd Weber is an English composer and is known for many of his musicals. He was very musical and started composing at a young age. Andrew remains one of the top musical composers today.
