Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) uses the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) to provide the online training component for members of the MSUM community.
All faculty, students, and staff researchers proposing to use human subjects in research under the auspices of Minnesota State University Moorhead are required to complete the human participants training offered through CITI Training.
IRB proposals will be reviewed for approval after this training has been completed and verified.
NOTE: There is no charge for taking this course if you are a current MSUM student or employee and you register with your MSUM email.
The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Human Research Protections oversees the federal guidelines regarding protection of human subjects in research and mandates all researchers to complete a training course in human subject protection for social behavioral research involving human participants.
