College of Science, Health & the Environment

  • The College of Science, Health, and the Environment provides a strong liberal studies foundation for all undergraduate programs that prepare students for fulfilling and productive careers in science, health and the environment. The College includes seven academic departments with award-winning faculty, state-of-the-art technology and resources, and outstanding programs that provide a solid foundation for advanced study or job-ready careers.

  • Benefits of MSUM's College of Science, Health & the Environment
    In addition to accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission and membership in the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the College of Science, Health & the Environment holds specialized accreditation like National Association of School Psychologists, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education , and the Minnesota and North Dakota Board of Examiner for Nursing Home Administrators among many others.
    The College of Science, Health & the Environment seeks student advisory board membership each semester to provide a student perspective and voice to the dean of the college. Student input and feedback is essential to represent and advocate for students’ interests and concerns.
    Students and faculty within the College of Science, Health, and the Environment have access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology for creative investigation, advanced research projects and overall academic excellence.
    Community engagement and teaching opportunities are abundant through programs such as the Regional Science Center and Planetarium or student organizations that participate in outreach activities to promote the sciences.
