A Bachelor of Science degree may be earned in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Information Technology at MSU Moorhead. The curriculum for each major is broad-based, rigorous, and designed to prepare you for a future in challenging and dynamic professions. In addition to courses in the major, you'll complete studies in related areas such as accounting, management, mathematics, speech and technical report writing.
Economics majors receive a solid foundational understanding of economic principles and theories and can tailor their studies toward a particular specialty area, such as business, law, education, international affairs, public policy, finance or research. Political Science majors learn about government institutions, public processes, politics and political behavior in the U.S. and other nations. The Paralegal degree is a comprehensive four-year program approved by the American Bar Association, a distinction held by only 74 bachelor degrees in the country.

Classes in the MSU Moorhead Mathematics department are restricted to 35 students and the advanced courses run between 5 and 15 students. These small classes provide an environment where open discussion of topics is not only possible, but encouraged. Our Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Modeling, Foundations of Geometry, General Topolgy and Independent Research classes provide majors with a broad background in mathematics and give you many opportunities to explore mathematics more deeply.

The goal of each School of Communication & Journalism major is to prepare students for a professional career. Each major includes coursework designed to enhance your verbal and visual storytelling skills, oral communication skills, critical thinking abilities, as well as team and leadership skills to build their technical skills. You will work to effectively share a message using multimedia platforms, along with theory-based coursework that also addresses communications’ ethics, leadership, communications law, research, persuasion, and interpersonal communication.
